Description:

Research shows students are significantly more likely to succeed in school if they understand the connection between their academic efforts and the long-term pay-off of real-world career success. Integrating career development into education broadens students’ awareness of opportunities that can maximize their potential and deepen their skill set to direct their own personal and professional growth. In this workshop, participants will unpack the knowledge and skills necessary for students to achieve long-term college and career success. In particular, we will focus on two areas: career exposure and asset-based networking. Participants will leave with actionable interventions, practical building blocks for students at every grade level, and tools to measure student progress.
