NYS SAC Credential PreK Endorsement

The NYS School-Age Credential (SAC) PreK Endorsement Course is a study of competency standards that reflect best practices in PreK after-school programs. This Prekindergarten SAC Credential is specifically designed for individuals currently employed in school-age programs, and who have completed the NYS School Age Care (SAC) Credential, to gain additional competencies specific to facilitating a Prekindergarten afterschool program. Competency standards demonstrating the ability to nurture children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth will be explored. Major topics include maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment, child development, guidance, operational program management, self, social and emotional development, out of school environment, creative, physical development, and cognitive development.
